FOAMING AT THE TRANSMISSION
I have a 1955 GMC M211 with the stock HydraMatic transmission. I know the transmission is supposed to use 30 weight motor oil. But should I use detergent or non-detergent?

Always use non-detergent oil in these transmissions (unless they have been updated to use ATF). Detergent oil may foam and could cause serious damage. |
